So today has got to be better than yesterday! Yesterday Aspergers sucked for everyone and Quinn was not a happy boy.

We are away staying at the in-laws for vacation bible school, and this is not easy! So much disruption in our routine, meltdowns galore! Quinn has been having such a hard time, he doesn't want to go anywhere  or do anything fun. We are at a vacation beach destination, so who wouldn't want to go play in the sand, ocean, miniature golf or walk the boardwalk? 

My aspie, that is who! My heart aches for my daughter who is constantly told he wants a different sister. He tells me that he doesn't belong and asks why did God make him this way, he does belong here!  

I don't have a Mom to cry to or to lean on for support, I feel so alone! We love our kids and will not give up.  It is hard when no one in the family or your friends don't understand, they say he has too much control and that he has too many meltdowns for his age, ughhhhhhh

Hi,
My name is Michele and Quinn is our youngest child, he just turned 6 last month. Quinn has ASD ( Aspergers, Sensory Processing Disorder, dysgraphia, speech delays) there is more, but to summarize we will say he is my Aspie.

Life with Quinn is an adventure, a heartache, at times just so damn difficult, but he is my precious little boy who I love and adore. Quinn does not want to be a challenge, he wants to be like other kids. He knows that he is different, my job in life is to reassure him that he is awesome and love. I want to help him adapt and to have others accept him.
